This credit is not transferable to a cash amount and may only be used towards other Treat Me Right services.

4. Equipment & Handling Policy:

Absolutely no force or physical punishment is permitted to be used during any Treat Me Right services. The use of choke collars, electric/shock collars, and prong collars are strictly not permitted. If a student chooses to use these methods outside Treat Me Right sessions or classes, it is their responsibility to understand that the skills learned in their training program may not be effective and that we reserve the right to terminate the training agreement. Any bites or incidents that occur due to lack of management or neglect remain the responsibility of the guardian.

You must be prepared with the necessary items required as outlined by your trainer. These items include many high value food treats, a 6’ or longer flat leash, a treat pouch, as well as other items that your trainer may specify.

5. Health & Safety Policy:

For any in-person sessions your dog must be healthy, bright, alert, and free from contagious disease. You must contact your trainer if your dog develops any of the following prior to an in-person training session: vomiting and/or diarrhea; coughing and/or sneezing; nasal and/or eye discharge (that is yellow or green in colour); skin lesions or hair loss; ticks and/or fleas.

You will be required to provide proof of vaccination and any other specified preventative treatment upon scheduling an in-person service. Your dog must have received an up-to-date rabies vaccination and DHPP vaccination at least 7 days prior to attending my first in-person service.  You understand that if you are unable to provide proof of vaccination prior to the first in-person service, Treat Me Right reserves the right to reschedule or transfer in-person dog training services to online training services.

Before a trainer enters your home all dogs must be securely managed in a way that ensures the safety of the trainer and all other members of the household during the trainer’s arrival. Do not allow dogs with reactive, aggressive, or fearful tendencies to greet a trainer at the door.

During training sessions there must be one adult handler available per dog. Guardians assume all responsibility for participating minors and must be present during all stages of training. Individuals under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult who is not also handling a dog.

You warrant and represent that you will remain aware of and abide by local law and public guidance on reducing COVID-19 exposure, and will follow best practices in relation to Treat Me Right’s services regarding social distancing and sanitation.

You may be asked to confirm your health and the health of all other members of your household, including awareness of any fevers or other symptoms, before each in-person training session. You represent and warrant that you will provide full and complete, accurate information as known to me.
